1980-90 -lukujen taitteessa alkoi äänitteiden kansiin ilmestyä paikallisradioiden logoja. Kyseessä oli luonnollisesti radioiden keino lisätä yleisön huomiota ja pitää asemien nimet julkisuudessa.
